遠東銀行遭駭事件，引發民眾對台灣金融資訊安全的疑慮，18 日在立法院財委會也引發立委關注。金管會主委顧立雄則表示，已對國內 38 家銀行進行 SWIFT（環球銀行間金融電訊網路）專案金檢，已完成24家，還有3家正在檢查中，目前有缺失比例不到1成，剩餘10多家預計明（2018）年1月完成。
顧立雄 18 日赴立法院財委會進行專案報告，國民黨立委賴士葆質詢時問金管會什麼時候要對銀行資安進行檢查？所有銀行是否都應該設置副總級以上的資安長？
對於資安檢查部分，顧立雄指出，目前已對 38 家銀行進行 SWIFT 系統專案檢查，其中有24 家已完成，目前正在進行的有3家，剩下的 10 餘家預計明年1月底全部檢查完畢。檢查局長王儷娟則進一步說明，目前檢查的結果，確實發現有部分銀行沒有做的很好，但有缺失的比例不到1成，相關缺失也已公布在網站上。
至於銀行是否應設立副總級資安長？顧立雄認為，規模較大的銀行設立副總級資安長較容易，但中小型銀行或是信合社、農漁會信用部，就要看要付出多少成本來因應，不過，他強調，銀行設立資安專責單位，除要求專責單位要足以負擔資安要求，另外就是資安專職單位要直接對董事會進行報告。
民進黨立委江永昌則質詢8大公股行庫有無成立資安專責單位？層級是否拉高至副總級？甚至有防制洗錢的專責單位？結果與會8大行庫董總全數舉手表示，已成立「資安專責單位」，但進一步有防洗錢的專責單位，則只有兆豐銀行。
